Quaint bed and breakfast in the walled city

The hotel was exactly what I wanted: it was quaint bed and breakfast, conveniently located, and it had a pool. The staff was very friendly. I really appreciated that they woke up early, the day of my departure and made me breakfast at 630 AM.

The only delta is that the shower could of been cleaned a little better, meaning I found a couple of hairs.

Staff very friendly and helpful.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast great. My room at the top was fab - big room with its own library/tv room and own beautiful terrace (with humming bird).

What was the highlight of Casa Mantilla 3-37

Localization and sympathy of the employees

Description and comfort do not correspond in any way to the reality of the accommodation. The "suite" on the top floor of the house is huge. However, for 3 people, as was my case (couple plus a 12 years old son) did not have the slightest of conditions. The "extra bed", which is just a couch, is in an area outside the room, rather a "library" open over the dining room: I had never seen anything like it. In addition to the inappropriate area the amount of books and objects filled with dust, led to my son sleeping in our bed (fortunately a king size). The cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired (sheets with hair) and the bath towels very bad. Weak breakfast.

Excellent staff and good location.

Pool is shared with another Casa. There appeared to be an attendant permanently by the pool side. One evening the other Casa's guests had a loud party which made the night difficult until the wee hours.

Excellent location, beautiful old colonial house.

Excellent location, beautiful old colonial house. It’s worth noting that the stairs are very steep - less ablex travellers would want fo take this under consideration. The staff was really welcoming and lovely. Very good breakfast. Room was comfortable with AC and double-glazed windows.

The rooms could do with some refurbishment as they lack the charm of the rest of the house. We were under the impression that the bathroom had not been properly cleaned after the previous guests; we did not make a fuss about it as we were only staying for one night.

Very special, really good memories

The old style of the house. The rooms are charming, the breakfast room is amazing. The terrace with the flowers and sunbeds for the suite room was so wonderful. Estela, the lady who receives you and takes care of you, was very kind and served nice breakfast. The location is perfect.

A bit of a worn feeling in the room and bathroom equipment (like the hairdryer seems really old and used and sticky and would almost overheat) although one might think it adds to the charm. When arriving hard to figure out which door is the hotel's entrance door as there is no indication of a "hotel". A bit noisy in the night (noise coming in from the street).

What was the highlight of Casa Mantilla 3-37

It was a pleasure. We actually returned early to enjoy the property each day.

The staff were so friendly and Stella, who runs the place is an absolute delight. Our suite was huge and our terrace was also very large. It was like a little piece of paradise.

I don’t think I’d criticize anything although I’m sure some folks would prefer an elevator. We had no problems with the stairs.

Best boutique hotel in Cartagena!

I could not arrive the day I was expecting to arrive and despite my booking expired, Stella received me for the day, allowing me to leave my bags while I was having meetings, gave a beautiful corozo juice and allowing me to rest for 20 minutes in one of the room, the Hotel is extremely clean, beautiful, cosy, right in the historic centre of Cartagena, I felt at home and I promised to myself and also Stella to get back with my family or friends! What a wonderful hotel and people, 100% recommended!
